Vinyl banners are large, flexible print products made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), often hung to display visual information indoors and outdoors. They are often grommeted to facilitate hanging and hemmed to prevent fraying or to allow for pole pockets. The vinyl material is waterproof and easy to clean. They are also easily rolled up for storage.
Hemming your vinyl banners helps give them extra strength to protect them from fraying or ripping. It extends the life of your banners so that they can withstand extended outdoor use. It also makes the banners look more professional and reduces potential curling.
To hem the banner, we fold approximately 1 inch from the edge of the vinyl and heat weld it into place. There are 3 hemming options to choose from:
- 2 shortest sides
- 2 longest sides
- All 4 sides
Hemming is especially helpful for banners that have grommets, as it improves the durability of the vinyl edges. Hemming can also create pockets for poles, ropes, or other materials used to hold up the banner.
Banners can be ordered with grommets. Depending on the size, different grommet options are available. These options include the following:
- Top 2 corners
- All 4 corners
- Every 2 - 3 feet on sides
- Every 2 - 3 feet all around
- Every 2 - 3 feet on top and bottom
You may include grommet placement on your file as small dots.

Mesh banners are great for outdoor use, even in areas that are windy or wet. Air passes through the mesh material easily so that your customers can communicate their message no matter the weather.
Polyester mesh is lightweight yet strong. The weave of this polyester scrim facilitates air flow, giving it extra durability without making the banner heavy. The caliper is at approximately 16 mil.
Our custom mesh banner printing process involves printing on the polyester mesh with a backer to ensure the best print quality. Simply peel off the backer and your custom printed mesh banners are ready to use.
Our mesh banners have low wind resistance and are both anti-smudge and anti-abrasive. These features, along with their quick drying properties, make these custom printed mesh banners perfect for outdoor use. Grommets are 0.75" in diameter.
